COUNSELING SERVICES IN BOISE, ID

YOUR IDAHO TEAM

Feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure about your relationships or life’s next steps is common. Therapy can be a place to slow down, gain perspective, and start moving forward with confidence. In this space, you can feel seen, heard, and supported while you work through challenges at your own pace!

You may notice habits or patterns that no longer serve you, feel unsure about decisions or relationships, or simply long for a deeper connection with yourself and those around you. We’ll face this together, moving at your pace, with compassion and understanding, as you explore your experiences, reconnect with your strengths, and build greater self-awareness.

Areas of Focus:

  • Toxic relationships

  • Narcissistic abuse

  • Bariatric & weight-related concerns

  • Anxiety & depression

  • Chronic illness

  • Domestic violence

My approach is warm, empathetic, and grounded, focused on supporting you as you tap into your inner clarity and resilience. Healing and growth are possible, and I would be honored to support you as you work toward a more fulfilling and authentic life.

JESS GAMBIL

Jess Gambil, Therapist, Boise, ID

Augustine is taking maternity leave and will be back seeing clients on September 2026.

I’m a Licensed Master Social Worker who is passionate about supporting people through life challenges that inevitably come to us all. I strongly believe that you are the expert in your own life and that you already have everything you need for success within you. I hope to create a therapeutic atmosphere encapsulated by this quote from Brené Brown: “Owning our story and loving ourselves through that process is the bravest thing that we’ll ever do.”

I particularly enjoy working with life transitions, couples, self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, body image, disordered eating, perfectionism, faith-related struggles, and emotional health & wellness. My approach is both compassionate and encouraging. I pull from mindfulness practices, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, internal family systems, and more. I would be honored to support you in your journey.

Outside of the office, I enjoy the “extras” in life, including all things music, reading, cooking/baking, and traveling with my husband.

Some parts of our story are easier to talk about than others. Sometimes we know something isn’t working, and we don’t quite know how to explain it or where to even begin. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families to create a space where you can be real about what you’re carrying, feel understood, and work through the things that may be getting in the way of feeling like yourself again.

From a young age, I’ve been drawn to understanding what shapes us emotionally. What began as a fascination with the physical heart eventually became a calling to understand the emotional heart, too. I believe therapy is a place where you don’t have to have the right words, have it all figured out, or pretend you’re okay. You can come as you are, and we’ll start there.

Areas of Focus:

  • Trauma & severe mental illness

  • Eating disorders & body dysmorphia

  • Family therapy

  • Substance use (teens and adults)

  • Adults navigating life after incarceration

Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all, and neither are people. I take the time to understand what’s going on with you and find an approach that feels like a good fit. With younger clients, I use Play, Art, and Sand Tray therapy to help them express things they may not have the words for yet. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable being yourself, talk about the hard stuff without judgment, and know you don’t have to figure it all out on your own.
